Double-nosed Setter.
An English dog breed favoured by artisan hunters in the north of England and noted for its double-nose (like a double barrelled shotgun).  A pale red dog but as most litters only produced two or three pups it seems the breed's eventual demise was probably due to inbreeding depression.  Dogs with bifid noses are usually assumed to have traces of Spanish Pointer (Pachon Navarro) blood.
Arkwright once remarked that he'd seen a brace of pale red setters in his friend Purcell-Llewellyn's kennels at the time the latter was experimenting with setter breeding.
